thank you

I see you have been starting a bunch of the Mac articles. I enjoy reading them, and wanted to say thanks. ⇔ ChristTrekker 14:18, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Agreed! Thanks for all the help! → ~tl (talkcontribs) 14:47, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

If you could put double brackets around the names of machines in the articles you write as you go, they'll be wikilinked, and save having to add that later. ⇔ ChristTrekker 17:30, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I have added two extra variables to the new specs templates... just before you go updating every article without them! → ~tl (talk · contribs) 10:03, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Please start using the new template outlines!‼❢ ⇔ ChristTrekker 18:30, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Re-formatted everything to use the new templates - please don't change anything fingers beg for mercy =;) ; TheNeil 10:55, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Hopefully that should be it now! Any future changes will be additions (e.g. adding a field for PCI slots, etc) which won't requite changing any previous templates! ☺ → ~tl (talk · contribs) 10:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
~tl is working on adding a neural interface so you can just think your changes... ☺ We appreciate you sticking with us through our initial growing pains. ⇔ ChristTrekker 14:37, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
No problems. I'm just pleased I can help out =:D ; TheNeil 10:55, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

(I see you figured out how to customize your sig, too! ☺ I was using the San Fran one but then I realized there were probably very few people visiting with iCab in Mac OS.) ⇔ ChristTrekker 14:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

If you haven't already, you should both add a custom signature button to the toolbar on the wiki. It's much quicker just to click it than to type it all out each time! To do it you need to go to Special:Mypage/monobook.js and add a bit of Javascript code. Take a look at mine and modify it for yours accordingly. Basically add the code you want in the "tagOpen" section. ~~~~~ prints the current date without your username, so you'll want to add that on the end. However, you have to break it up like ~" + "~" + "~" + "~" + "~" like I did to stop the wiki from parsing it when you save the page. <nowiki> tags don't work as they also get inserted when you click the button in the toolbar. Just a little thing that speeds up editing! → ~tl (talk · contribs) 17:53, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Haha, just found how you do it properly! Ooops! I have to say though, my method worked just as well! → ~tl (talk · contribs) 18:15, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Heh heh. ☺ I've always been typing the entity for that arrow, and I just recently decided to figure out how to do a "real" custom sig so it shows up just by doing the four ~s. The custom font is nice...I certainly wouldn't spend the time to type that in by hand! ⇔ ChristTrekker 19:03, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I didn't want to have to type my custom one out by hand, so I searched with Google and found the JS solution. It worked fine, but this way is so much simpler! → ~tl (talk · contribs) 19:46, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Try Template:My computer specs infobox, or take a look at charliebrown, schroeder, or marcie. Discuss on its Talk page. ⇔ ChristTrekker 15:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
