No problems - someone had to get the ball rolling. I just hope they're a) right and b) encourage others to get typing (I really don't fancy writing articles for everything) =;)

Re: spec infobox template test

I've moved all this discussion to Template talk:Computer specs full#spec infobox template test. Might as well keep the discussion in the public domain rather than on our talk pages. → ~tl (talk · contribs) 21:15, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to be away!

Just so you know, as of next Monday I'm going to be without an internet connection for a bit. I'm moving into a new flat and it'll take a while to get ADSL activated in there. I'll be trying to check my email/etc every once in a while, but don't expect a speedy response! I wouldn't think that there'll be any problems here and I'm sure you can handle it. Cheers! → ~tl (talk · contribs) 07:48, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Funnily, the userboxes were never the full width of the container in Safari! I have to say, they look much better now... → ~tl (talk · contribs) 20:01, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Heh…I guess that's what happens when I really only use one browser 98% of the time. ⇔ ChristTrekker z 12:55, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Label/Sticky colours....

What version of the Mac OS did you get your Label/Stickies colours from? I've just been doing theme mockups for the forums and came up with different colours to you. These are the colours in System 7.5:

Label colours

  • Essential: FF6402
  • Hot: DD0806
  • In Progress: F20884
  • Cool: 02ABEA
  • Personal: 0000D4
  • Project 1: 006411
  • Project 2: 562C05

Stickies colours

  • Yellow: FF9 / FC0
  • Blue: 9FF / 0CF
  • Green: CFC / 6F6
  • Pink: FCC / F99
  • Purple: CCF / 99F
  • Grey: EEE / BBB
  • Black & White: FFF / 000

I've no idea. I requested a screenshot in the forums (thread 4364) since I didn't have the ability to boot Mac OS at the time. Zydeco supplied one. I certainly like your version better (at least for Stickies) from a web designer viewpoint. Is the difference attributable to color depth? ⇔ ChristTrekker z 18:53, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, the colours look a bit washed out in that picture. I took the colours directly from Basilisk II using Digital Color Meter. I would presume they are right. → ~tl (talk · contribs) 19:32, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh and they were taken in "Millions" colour mode. I can't seem to get Basilisk to work in 256-colours to check what the label colours are in that. Those sticky colours are 256-colours safe, so I'd guess they're right... → ~tl (talk · contribs) 20:01, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
I've made a new version of the sticky note template with the new colours here: Template:Stickybox. I also changed the style so that it's more in keeping with the style of sticky notes when they're not activated – because of this I left out the title parameter too. I think it looks cleaner on the page than the old one did. What do you think? → ~tl (talk · contribs) 21:08, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not seeing any colors on Template:Stickybox. But just change the colors on the existing CSS classes to these better ones. Then they'll be used all over immediately. ⇔ ChristTrekker z 22:01, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
I've added new CSS declarations to MediaWiki:Common.css, so you might need to refresh the page a couple of times or clear your cache before they show. → ~tl (talk · contribs) 22:44, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
I knew that, really I did… ⇔ ChristTrekker z 14:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
I've made some more updates to Template:Stickybox. I've added the ability to add one of the icons to it. Thoughts? → ~tl (talk · contribs) 14:03, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Icons are good. ☺ ⇔ ChristTrekker z 14:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

ChristTrekker, I'm the person who is now responsible for the technical side of administering the MLA. I'm glad to see you're still active on the wiki! We have big things planned for this year. Thanks for the welcome!
