Glad to help :-)

Multilingual articles

When I was still active in the 68kMLA fora, I remember there being quite a few members from non-English speaking countries. Would anyone support the idea of an InterWiki facility for writing/translating articles in other languages on the 68kMLA Wiki?

While it's certainly possible, I personally don't see it as a high priority for the moment. While we certainly have a few non-English speakers on the forums, there aren't really that many – certainly not enough to actually maintain a Wiki in other languages. Look at the number of English speakers we have on the forum vs. the number who actually contribute to the Wiki! Maybe a better solution would be to offer links to an automatic translator (Google, Babelfish, etc) in the sidebar so that people could translate it (albeit not very well) if they so desired. That would require zero extra effort for our contributors too, which is good. So basically, at least until the Wiki is much better established, English should be our priority. → ~tl (talk · contribs) 14:05, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

superscript oddities

Probably badly designed superscript characters in your font, or even font substitution if your font doesn't have the full set of superscript numerals, causing them to not match very well. ⇔ ChristTrekker z 18:04, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, that must have been it. Perhaps a Unicode warning Sticky should be placed on future pages containing superscripted numerals? Though using the HTML tags is a much safer solution... Applemeister 18:52, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm happy with the SUP tag solution. Numerals ¹, ², and ³ are usually pretty safe—well-supported by most fonts. It's the other ones that cause problems. ⇔ ChristTrekker z 20:04, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Агат

Awesome job digging up info on this machine. Thanks! ⇔ ChristTrekker z 13:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

No worries :-) I'll see about adding some more info to the article when I have the time.Applemeister 15:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

PPC

I've noticed several PowerPC related articles have sprung up. ATM, I see this PPC business as something of a grey area, so perhaps now would be a good time to finally decide whether this wiki is going to focus solely on the 68k part of its name, or if PowerPC machines should also be part of the package.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing PPCs being covered, seeing that such a vast number of them are worthy of classic, if not vintage, status — after all, the 6100 is 14 years old, and the 8100 just one year less. Applemeister 20:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
