Radius PhotoEngine

The Radius PhotoEngine is a DSP card produced by Radius from 1993 to 1994. It uses the Nubus expansion bus to communicate with the computer. Its main ability is to accelerate some Photoshop 3 functions, and offload them off of the main CPU for a 4× or more increase. This is acomplished by 4 AT&T 60mhz DSP chips. However, the card has a major flaw in that it can't be made to accelerate other tasks due to a lack of plugins.
